One of my friends interviewed her daughters with these questions. Here are Arianna’s responses, at 5 1/2 years old:

Being good.

When I get a strike.
4. How does your mom make you laugh?
Funny jokes.
5. What was your mom like as a child?
I have no clue.
6. How old is your mom?
40.
7. How tall is your mom?
5 inches, no I mean 5 feet.
8. What is her favorite thing to do?
Playing with her girl and working for class to get money.
9. What does your mom do when you’re not around?
Work, of course.
10. If your mom becomes famous, what will it be for?
School, of course.
11. What is your mom really good at?
School and work.
12. What is your mom not very good at?
Let me think. I don’t know. She’s not very good at fixing cars.
13. What does your mom do for a job?
Work.
14.What is your mom’s favorite food?
I’m pretty sure it’s yogurt with granola.
15. What makes you proud of your mom?
When she gets me a video from the library.
16. If your mom were a cartoon character, who would she be?
Puss ‘n boots because he is a cat as well as a hero.
17. What do you and your mom do together?
Play, play and more play.
18. How are you and your mom the same?
I don’t know, I’ll have freckles when I grow up.
19. How are you and your mom different?
Our hair.
20. How do you know your mom loves you?
Because she hugs me.
21. Where is your mom’s favorite place to go?
As far as I’m concerned, it’s the ice cream shop because everyone loves ice cream around here.
22. What is your mom’s favorite thing about your dad?
Because he’s nice.
It’s interesting how she is learning to separate herself and her likes from mine. With younger kids, it’s painfully obvious that it’s just all about them!
